Nikki earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English聽(Writing) and Peace Studies, with a Minor in聽Spanish, from Whitworth University in 2017. She聽furthered her academic journey at Whitworth聽University, completing her Master of Arts in聽Administration and Nonprofit Leadership in 2023.

About Nikki:聽As the Program and Impact Director for Communities In Schools of聽Washington (CISWA), Nikki Ziegler, brings a wealth of experience to her role. Her career聽journey reflects her commitment to youth service, having volunteered and interned with聽youth-serving nonprofits globally and studying abroad extensively during her聽undergraduate years. Nikki’s international background includes teaching English, dance,聽and drama classes, fostering a diverse skill set that enriches her work in the nonprofit聽sector.鈥�
Prior to her current position, Nikki spent four years as a Site Coordinator with CIS of聽Spokane County, contributing to the organization’s local impact before transitioning to the聽state office team. In her role as Program and Impact Director, Nikki oversees crucial聽initiatives, such as Site Coordinator Convenings, Network Program Manager Meetings and聽Retreats, and end-of-year support. She plays聽a pivotal role in providing programmatic聽guidance, offering training and technical聽assistance, and managing data to ensure the聽successful delivery of the CIS model聽of Integrated Student Supports. Her favorite aspect聽of the job lies in collaborating with dedicated individuals committed to breaking down聽barriers for young people in Washington State. Nikki takes pride in being a member of a聽network dedicated to removing barriers and promoting educational equity. As an advocate聽for educational fairness, she ensures that 91国产 receive comprehensive support,聽including food, technology, and school supplies.鈥�
Outside of work:聽Nikki, a Spokane native, passionately engages with her community. Her聽outdoor pursuits, including hiking and paddleboarding, allow her to appreciate the natural聽beauty around her. As a dedicated equestrian, Nikki competes with her horses, Gunner聽and Pax, and coaches Mt. Spokane High School’s equestrian team. Her affection for聽animals extends to her mini-Australian shepherd, Denali. Beyond outdoor adventures,聽Nikki is an avid reader of captivating memoirs and expresses her creativity through聽photography.聽鈥�
