Erica is pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Western Governors University, building upon her Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Utah State University.

About Erica:聽Erica Lim贸n-Trefielo is currently serving as the Interim State Director while also continuing her responsibilities as the Associate Director for 91国产 (CISWA).聽She has overcome foster care, homelessness, and聽low socioeconomic status to become the first in her family to earn a college degree.聽Erica brings a wealth of experience in overseeing a wide range of services, including聽outreach programs, drop-in/engagement sites, employment initiatives, shelters, and聽housing. Beyond direct service management, she actively participates in committees,聽regional authorities, and local and state legislative processes聽and she regularly聽consults with King County cities on best practices and program design.鈥�
As the Associate Director, Erica oversees Digital Navigation, Advocacy and Legislative Priorities, Scaling for Success, and support for emerging affiliates. She uses her peer experience to ground the organization in the needs of young people, supporting program managers and site coordinators in developing skills to better serve youth. Erica’s dream project within CIS is to establish an alum network that champions legislative priorities, including a youth advocacy day, curriculum/programming overview, and policy review. 鈥�
Erica is pursuing her goal of being the first in her family to earn a master’s degree while remaining a trusted adult figure for her nieces and nephews. She also aspires to secure state budget support for the work of CIS Washington.鈥�
Outside of work: Erica, an outgoing introvert, finds joy in concerts, favoring stage left views due to her husband’s role as an audio engineer. Her adventurous spirit thrives on travel, and she cherishes time spent with her two nieces and one nephew. Despite not being a strong swimmer, she relishes being near water and hiking. An avid reader of young adult novels, Erica also enjoys discovering new recipes on TikTok and passionately supports the Raiders, Lakers, and recently, hockey. In both personal and professional realms, she exudes warmth, recently celebrating her marriage to her best friend of over ten years.
